  • (1-3年级学生)Pilates for Younger Athletes

    A fun and relaxing way to develop strength, stability, flexibility, body awareness and control for life and sports. Staying home doesn’t have to mean getting out of shape – in fact, its a great opportunity to develop new skills!Pilates will benefit the younger student athlete by helping them develop core strength, balance, stability and resilience, both in and out of their sport. This fun but focused class uses household items such as throw pillows and beach towels to help students grow their mind-body connection while enhancing their future performance.

    Each class starts with a question about injuries participants may have so I can be sure everyone has safe variations, followed by a brief meditation to become present in the class, then by fun and age-appropriate variations of traditional Pilates exercises. Every class will include a healthy dose of core strengthening, stability, flexibility, proprioception and fun.

  • (4-6年级学生) Pilates for Tween Athletes

    Because kids learn and grow differently, this class is designed to meet the “middle aged” kids where they are at. Students will learn the principles of Pilates, paying extra attention to body awareness and positioning.Each class will focus on a subset of the principles of Pilates including awareness and proprioception, breathing, centering, control, precision, fluidity, balance, stability and flexibility. Participants will learn new exercises, refine old ones and
    always work on posture and efficient movement.

    Each class starts with a question about injuries participants may have so I can be sure everyone has safe variations, followed by a brief meditation to become present in the class, then age-appropriate Pilates exercises.

    Every class will include a healthy dose of core strengthening, stability, flexibility, proprioception and fun.

  • (7-12年级学生)Pilates for Athletes

    This class focuses on sport-centered Pilates training designed to improve core strength, flexibility and resilience for athletic
    performance. Pilates will benefit the student athlete by enhancing their core strength, flexibility, mobility, balance, stability and resilience, both in and out of their sport. This fun but focused class uses household items such as throw pillows and beach towels to help students grow their mind-body connection while enhancing their future performance.Each class will start with a brief survey about new injuries participants may have, then a brief meditation or breathing exercises to become present in the class, usually followed by the series of 5 – a traditional mat Pilates warm up. After this, we will head into exercises based on the focus of the day, which will be based on one of the principles of Pilates – breathing, concentration, fluidity, balance, control, alignment, etc. Whatever the focus of the day.

    All exercises include a healthy dose of core strengthening and attention to posture, alignment and the mind-body connection.

上课要求

  • 学生需要有一块瑜伽垫,一块毛巾,一个小枕头(或者毛绒动物),2个大概1磅重的东西,例如两个水壶。上课场地有足够让学生移动,没有干扰的空间,舒适的衣服,赤脚是最好的。上课时,请勿发表无关的聊天消息。为了保证教学质量,每个镜头前只能有一位学生参加。如果有任何不正确的地方,老师有权利要求学生离开课堂进行反省和改正。
