第一期:Primary Public Speaking I

Kids of all ages have something to say. Match their problem-solving, research, writing, and public speaking skills to their reading levels. Get an early start towards self-expression, abstract thinking, and overall academic excellence.

Course Objectives
Write and present facts with an informative speech. Establish an argument with a persuasive speech. Research facts to confirm their initial impressions.

Week 1: Self-Introduction; State Your Name, Age, and a Key Fact
Week 2: Introduction to Speeches; Create an Introduction with an Informative Topic
Week 3: Research with Kid Reading Databases and Search Engines; Find Information with the Resources, Complete the Body with References, Finish with a Conclusion
Week 4: Voice Projection and Opinions; Perfect the Speech with Your Voice, Visual Aids, and Eye Contact, Give a Persuasive Topic and Introduction
Week 5: Clear Voices and Paragraphs; Work on the Statements with Resources
Week 6: Check Your Work; Make Sure that You Follow the Outline with Good Subpoints, Sentences, and Paragraphs
Week 7: Memorize and Practice; Ask Questions, See How You Can Help Your Presentation
Week 8: Impromptu with Quotations for Kids; Read and Provide Examples for the Quotes

第二期:Intermediate Public Speaking I

As students approach their secondary education and beyond, public speaking and writing skills are critical. You want to speak in front of others and express yourself. It is important to be able to articulate your thoughts. With proper preparation, understanding of speechwriting, research strategies, and speaking techniques, you will gain greater confidence. During this session, you will learn about the informative and persuasive speeches.

Course Objectives
The students will determine speech topics, research, create speeches, and present those speeches to an audience of their peers. Throughout the course, they will receive constant feedback to improve their speaking and writing style.

Week 1: Self-Introduction; Identify Important Facts and Details
Week 2: Introduction to the Informative Speech; Provide an Informative Topic, Subpoints, and Initial Research
Week 3: Research and Transitions; Research in Greater Detail and Review the Outline
Week 4: Voice Projection and Persuasive Topic; Perfect the Speech with Writing and Speaking Style
Week 5: Clarity with Voice and Message and Persuasive Introduction; Develop a Persuasive Topic and Introduction, Present a Clear Message and Opinion
Week 6: Memorization, Analysis, and Practice; Recall Key Facts and Data
Week 7: Think Positively and Relay a Message; Increase Natural Speech Patterns for Credibility
Week 8: Quotations and Impromptu; Prepare a Short Speech Based on a Quote

第三期:Intermediate Public Speaking III

Students are putting their abilities to the test. They are able to include public speaking endeavors in their projects and research activities. In turn, there is a possibility that these assignments could be replicated in their coursework, conferences, and/or competitions.

Course Objectives
The students will emphasize cross-curricular learning and speeches. Specifically, we will acquire greater knowledge of speaking events, such as expository, commentary, after-dinner, humorous, and informative speaking. In addition, there will be research, posters, and project learning.

Week 1: Innovations, Instructions, and Ideas, Descriptions; New Technology and Techniques, Intro – Decide on an Innovation with 2-3 Points
Week 2: Expository Speaking, Effective Communication Styles; Provide the Speech with 2-3 Points as well as 2-3
References
Week 3: Speeches throughout the Disciplines, Science, Social Sciences, and Linguistics; Determine the Type of Poster and Presentation, Consider a Topic and Initial Research
Week 4: Research and Discover with Methodology, Answer Self-Designed & Interview Questions; Recall the Scientific Method & Follow the Plans for the Project + Answer Questions
Week 5: Facts and Information, Command, Inform, and Entertain an Audience; Develop and Confirm the Visuals with PPTs and Poster as well as the Full Speech
Week 6: Commentary, Entertainment, and Humor, Tell Stories and Engage the Audience; Introduce a Piece of Information with a Humorous or Entertaining Tidbit
Week 7: Experiences and Moments, Determine Key Details and Memorable Events; Center the Speech around a Person and/or Theme + Practice
Week 8: Community Involvement, Virtual Tours; Present the Important Speeches

上课规则

在上课前,请您确保和孩子做好以下的准备,以免耽误上课。

  • 家长们协助孩子安装上课软件 Zoom,协助孩子调试设备,方便进行线上学习。
  • 上课前请家长确认电脑或 iPad 的充电状态,以防临时没电。
  • 上课期间请尽量保持家里环境的安静。
  • 上课时学生 Zoom 镜头必须打开,让老师能看到学生。
  • Zoom 的名字必须是报名上课孩子的名字,课堂只限已报名学生,否则老师将会要求离开课室进行调整。
  • 让孩子熟悉使用 Zoom 的静音,Chat,和举手的功能。
  • 为保证课程顺利进行,爱学工作人员将参与上课,进行协助和监督。
  • 请家长监督孩子完成作业,按时在 Google Classroom 里提交给老师。

配送规则

上课前 48 小时会通过电子邮件发送 Google Classroom 链接,Zoom 链接会在 Google Classroom 里的 Class Information 中查看。不熟悉 Google Classroom 使用方法的家长请观看视频教程学习。

退费规则

  • 报名后无法成班将全额退款
  • 第一节课开始之前可以全额退款
  • 第一节课结束后可以退课(扣除第一节课的费用),剩余课时费作为积分退回爱学账户;也可以安排换课。
  • 第二节课之后就不能退课也不能再换课。
  • 因学生原因导致缺课将提供录像,不能退费或者退积分
